Letari Tepana
The name ‘Te Ahurei a Rangatahi’ translates to ‘The Gathering of Youth’ and thass what we do!!!!
Been with the organisation for 11 years and I’ve had the opportunity to work in a number of roles. In 2010 I started as a volunteer then full time employee from 2011. Since then I’ve worked through six different roles and 2021 I began the year as Line Manager.
I’ve had the chance to grow through the roles I’ve had and create change in my community, opening doors that were never there. Over time I’ve worked with the creme of the crop, top knotch ‘Ahurei Og’s’ and I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my brother ’P MAN’ Ports Maipi, he took me in and taught me everything. “What’s the paakeha word for keke? Cake. What’s the paakeha word for keekee? Caaaaake!”
